Portable Magic.

Last night at Portable Magic, Six Chicago artists contemplated the idea of portability and the magic that makes the meaning of an object change under different circumstances. Artists include:

Danica Olders
Chelsea Parker

Cori Williams
Courtney Ziegler

We invited friends, artists, randoms to come and enjoy art and drinks and food and the beautiful night. 

It was a bit dark so some of the shots are really blurry but something about the movement in them gets me every time.

Saturday

A few words to describe the last week/today: 

laryngitis delirium, no voice, raspy voice, projector madness, frustrating, jokes, dancing, treasure fingers, hectic, styling, voodoo, witchy, new creatives, new collaborators, sick results.

Photos are a little preview of some possible edits from the shoot i did today(soon on the website or also some on flickr) - already have some different versions in store, they may stay like that, they may be totally different, i just had to play around with them today at least a little bit, and share!

Off now for a very much needed soul/body reboot.

Beautiful people, beautiful spirits, beautiful afternoon.

Chilling with the Vortex Voodoo Poet Magic babe that is Caro.

Then came the sensational homemade Sushi (thank you Scott!) 

and impromptu polaroid shoot with the beautiful Kelty.

Overall for what seemed to be a pretty boring Sunday,

life delivered.

Portrait of the ever so hot rocker of big leather vag pants, Chloe I did a few weeks ago.

Check out her blog, she has amazing taste in vintage and new, does styling, sells stuff on Etsy and is also an amazing artist!

Can't wait to be able to show you her artwork. 

Getting the ball rolling again on these, they are some of my favourite things to do: sit, drink coffee, beer whatever and catch up with people. 

Planning to do one of these with a DJ Trio from Montreal, very excited - gotta buy some massive paper!

Also have lots of shoots in planning, i can't wait to get started on them, I'm bored already!
